Lately I've been seeing this trend with vest coming back into style. This reminded me of back when I was in elementary school when we thought they were really cool. That image of elementary school really threw me off the new style fab, but when I really started looking at it I found that the things paired with the vests are actually really cute!
I love this combo of a plad polo and sweater with a vest on top. The layering makes it look really put together and cute.
I love how they put a statement necklace with this one. The poka-dots also add a cute touch. I' not in love with the pink vest but maybe I could grow to like it too?
Adding a flease underneath makes it almost look lumberjacky and I love it! (The monogram is a cute added touch as well)
Matching pattern can be tricky but this outfit does it perfectly! Gotta say I don't normally wear too much pattern but I would definitely wear this outfit.
Okay so here is me, officially admitting that I LOVE this new/old trend. I may just need to go out and invest in a vest now... Happy shopping everyone! :)

Oscar Award Dresses
Z100 has already posted their list of Best and Worst dressed people at the Oscars. Some of them I agree with and some I find myself questioning who is the fashion critique behind them.
Giuliana Rancic was labeled Worst with her wedding like ballgown. I found this dress to be whimsical and thought it suited her perfectly so I had to put it on my best list!
Goldie Hawn's dress was labeled under the best. But the butterfly wing looking off the shoulder straps just made the dress a hell no in my book.
Again with the butterfly looking dress.. Kate Hudson was labeled under best by Z100 but I find myself putting this dress on the worst list.
Kerry Washington was put on the best list but I found this dress to honestly look like a curtain draped around her body and fashioned at the top. So it certainly went on my worst list.
Although Kristen Bell was put on the best list I found her dress fluffy and almost cloud like. Needless to say, I didn't love it.
Sally Hawkins's dress wears her instead of her wearing the dress. Even though Z100 said best I gotta say worst. The dress just didn't seem to fit her right.
Viola Davis wore this emerald green dress and got a best from Z100. I give it a worst, the dress is cut in a way that does not suit her body and makes her look like she is just one blob of color.
Overall the dresses for this years Oscars were pretty amazing! Go check out Z100 and rate them for yourself at http://www.z100.com/photos/pop-pics/best-and-worst-dressed-at-the-379382/22238739/#/17/22238739 What dresses do you love and what ones do you hate?

Statement Necklaces
Statement necklaces and I have a love hate relationship. I can't seem to go without my favorite statement necklace. The problem is I find some statement necklaces butt ugly. Here's my opinion on a good statement necklace versus a bad statement necklace.
The Bad Kind:
This is what I call the Cleopatra look. This necklace is way to big and someone should only be seen wearing this on Halloween.
This is what I call the baby bib. This is NOT a cute necklace! This is called a statement necklace for a reason.. the statement is that you have no style and are feeling nostalgic about those baby hood days.
This is called the big fat liar. Sorry ladies but if you are wearing a gem this big and you aren't rich or famous... that thing is not real! The problem with these types of necklaces is they end up looking cheep and ugly. All you end up wearing is a giant colored FAKE rock in the middle of your chest.
This is called the Atlanta Aquarium. These balls clumped together remind me a lot of the sea creatures and coral reefs you can find in the Atlanta aquarium. The statement "go big or go home" does not apply here! I would just tell you to go home and hide in shame if I saw you wearing this ugly thing around your neck. This just looks like a very painful infinity scarf that draws in wayyy to much attention.
This one is the final one I promise :) I call this one the tassel hassle. This statement necklace takes me back to the 70's (when I wasn't even alive) when tassels were in style. What are people thinking trying them back? They went out of style for a reason!
Okay now onto why I love statement necklaces. I am a simple type of girl so to find the right statement necklace for me takes quite a while. Here are some of my favorite types and why I love them so much.
I love this one because of the design elements in it. The fact that the beads are put into a pattern that resembles flowers is so creative to me.
I love the color mint. Most days I will have something on that has mint in it. This statement necklace is perfect for a splash of color with any outfit!
Again with the mint color :) My final favorite necklace is shorter and smaller than the rest. This necklace catches my eye with the great pattern and short length. One of my favorites by far!
A statement necklace can say a lot about a person. Just make sure that it says the right thing!

Pretty in Pink Party
So valentines day is coming up and I wanted to do a valentines day party! The problem is I think Valentines day party's can be really cheesy... so I changed the name and made it a little bit more grown up. Get ready to have a Pretty in Pink party :)
Here are some of the ideas I have found...
Raspberries with white chocolate chips inside!
Small cupcakes with hearts <3
Or if you don't like the cupcake idea how about an ombred hugs and kisses cake? (or why not do both? you can never have too many sweets!)
Or pretzels covered in chocolate with heart sprinkles?
To top it all off how about these champagne bottles?
For the kiddos how about milk and cookies? For the hearts in the milk put red die in milk and freeze it. Then you will have cute ice hearts that the kids will love!
Everyone will love these handmade mason jar lemonades! :)
One last think that will make your party a hit is this cute photo booth background!
Also don't forget props for your photo booth. Props always make things fun :)
Okay well those are all the ideas I've found that are not lame haha :) Hope you have a great valentines day! I know I will :)

I am a princess
When I was little I fell in love with Cinderella. She had it all, the looks, the friends, the guy, and even the happily ever after I dreamed of. Cinderella was powerful, kind, and never complained about all the work she had to do. She was someone I aspired to be. Disney came out with this video on how everyone is a princess so I thought I should share it with all of you. It warms my heart every time I watch it.
